Nature does abstract better than I can, it won't stop me trying though. When walking in the countryside everyone looks at the larger landscape and sweeping vistas. I do too but I also keep an eye on the micro world passing by which often is equally spectacular. Take a look at the lichen on a weathered on a mountainside rock or bark eroding over time each little niche is full of texture and colour and amazing. Nature does abstract superbly. In these highly textured artworks I try to represent some of that beauty. A wonderful highlight and focal point for a small space.
